What
Go is a statically-typed, compiled language from Google, well suited to small, self-contained tooling. At Doccla it's used in a handful of infrastructure tooling repos (for example, auth).
Why this ring
We're consolidating backend work onto Elixir, and Go is confined to a few infrastructure tooling repos rather than product services - it isn't a language we're expanding.
What does this mean
Not the default for new work. The existing tooling repos are maintained; prefer Elixir for new backend work.
